Groups that support music education

Every day we discover new organizations whose goal is to support and advocate for music education. In some cases these groups offer access to published research or grant money. Others provide PSA videos and papers that argue against cutting school music programs.

Support Music is joint project of NAMM (National Association of Music Manufacturers) and MENC. Thir site offers a huge array of documents and links to other groups that advocate for music education.

Music-In-Education National Consortium is a professional organization that leans toward academic research in Music Education. Their site offers access to articles from their Journal for Learning Through Music and Journal for Music-in-Education that can be freely downloaded and used for reference

Learning Through Music a 501c3 non-profit that advocates for music in education.

Early Childhood Music & Movement Association is a new group that brings together people who teach young children in schools as well as in programs like Music Together.
